Search will enable you to find who recorded what, and often where and when.

Three types of search are available:

Simple search allows you to combine the most common search criteria (composer, title, performer), but may give you more results than you need.

Advanced search offers many more search criteria and allows you to sort your results. If you have detailed information on what you're seeking this will give you a more precise result.

Free text search queries the entire database and may produce a very large number of results. Used with field names, however (see Search Help), Free Text Search is capable of producing the most precise results.

To find sound files check the box marked 'Only return records which have audio'. You'll find the check-box near the bottom of all three types of search page.
